Nick performs investment research and analysis for KCS, and serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He works side by side with Ken Waltzer to select securities, manage client portfolios and develop investment models. He also helps lead a number of other operational and service functions for the firm.
Nick holds the CFA charter, having passed all three levels on the first attempt. He’s also a licensed investment adviser representative in California.
Prior to joining KCS, Nick evaluated investment opportunities for Hotchkis & Wiley Capital Management, a value-oriented fund manager with nine strategies and $30B in assets under management. Before that, he analyzed public equity investment opportunities for a $2B global value manager.
Nick’s been managing money for his family since 2005. He’s been writing about investing since 2006, including his own financial blog and contributions to Seeking Alpha and The Motley Fool.
